Sugar trade in Jan-Apr estimated at USD 20 mln

Sugar export shipment in the period of Jan-Apr 2020 reached 54.56 thou. t for the amount of USD 20.17 mln.

The data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine show that the key markets in the period are as followed:

• Turkey: 10.42 thou. t, USD 3.85 mln, 19.1% of the total supply
• Libya: 7.76 thou. t, USD 2.87 mln, 14.23%
• Lebanon: 6.95 thou. t, USD 2.57 mln, 12.73%
• other countries: 29.43 thou. t, USD 10.88 mln, 53.94%

In H1 of 2019/20, sugar export shipment from Ukraine stood at 47.6 thou. t, 80% less from the prior period's relevant period.
