Ukraine's 1H tomato imports worth USD 62 mln

Tomato import to Ukraine in 1H 2020 stood at 65.53 thou. t for the amount of USD 62.06 mln, the State Customs Service data show.

In the reporting period, key suppliers of tomatoes are:

• Turkey: 53.3 thou. t, USD 50.48 mln, 81.35% of the total imports
• Poland: 7 thou. t, USD 6.65 mln, 10.72%
• Netherlands: 2.2 thou. t, USD 2.1 mln, 3.38%
• other countries: 2.98 thou. t, USD 2.83 mln t, 4.55%

Tomato export from Ukraine in 1H made up 880 t worth USD 1.5 mln t.

Previously reported that in the season 2020 the total tomato growing area in Agrofusion's farms is 7% higher from 2019.
