Pivdenny seaport updated transshipment record

Since the start of 2020, the Port of Pivdenny (former Yuzhny) in Odesa region has provided for the transshipment of 20 thou. t more cargo than for the entire 2019, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) reports.

"As of November 14, port operators of Pivdenny seaport handled a record volume of 53.88 mln t of cargo. While the cargo turnover for the whole 2019 was 53.86 mln t," the USPA says in a statement.

It is noted that Pivdenny seaport is the leader in cargo turnover among all Ukrainian ports. From January through October, port operators of the port handled 51.56 mln t of cargo, 17.6% more from 12M 2019.

Earlier it was reported that in October sea ports of Ukraine shipped 1.56 mln t of oilseeds and derived products, 1.6x more from September.
