January wages in agribusiness up by 12%

In Ukraine, the average nominal wages in January 2021 in agriculture, forestry and fisheries was UAH 9,565, 12% higher YoY. The average wages in agriculture stood at UAH 9,529, AgroRobota.com.ua reports.

The average nominal wage of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions and organisations in January 2021 was 12,337 UAH.

The average nominal wage decreased by 13% from December 2020 but increased by 15% YoY. The average wage is now 2.1x higher than the minimum wage (UAH 6,000).

"The highest average nominal salary in January 2021 was registered in the areas of financial and insurance activities (UAH 24,095), information and telecommunications (UAH 21,941), professional, scientific and technical activities (UAH 16,602)," the message reads.

According to the State Statistics Service, the highest salaries are paid in Donetsk (UAH 13,786), Dnipropetrovsk (UAH 12,744) and Kyiv regions (UAH 12,645).
