Kernel cut oilseeds processing by 4% in Q3 FY2021
The company Kernel, the world's largest sunflower oil producer and exporter, processed 902 thou. t of oilseeds in Q3(January-March 2021) FY2021, 4% less y-o-y due to the low harvest of sunflower seeds(13.1 mln t) in Ukraine this season.
In 9M FY2021, oilseeds processing at the company's crushing plants made up 2.57 mln t, 2% more from the prior year's comparative period (9M FY2020: 2.52 mln t).
Sunflower oil sales in Q3 FY2021 marginally declined 2% y-o-y, to 372 thou. t, mirroring the dynamics in the sunflower processing volume.
Edible oil sales in 9M FY2021 amounted to 1.09 mln t, 6% more YoY (9M FY2020: 1.03 mln t). Bottled sunflower oil sales composed 10% of total sales.
In the 2021 growing season, Kernel plans to produce sunflower and corn on 415,000 ha.
