Farmland sold in Ukraine nears 61 thou. ha by 22 Nov

Since the opening of the farmland market in Ukraine on 1 July 2021 the weighted average price per hectare has reached UAH 33,662 (apx. USD 1257).

During this period, 16,835 transactions have been made for the purchase and sale of land plots for commercial agricultural production (land shares) with a total area of 60,925 ha.

Basic data on farmland market in Ukraine as of 22 November:

  • the weighted average contract value per land plot — UAH 33,662
  • the total number of transactions of purchase and sale of land plots for commodity agricultural production (land shares) — 18,835, which is 17% of all land transactions in the country
  • the total area of land shares sold — 60,925 ha
  • the average size of the land plot — 3.62 ha
  • the maximum price for the land plot — UAH 2,949.1 mln, a plot of 1.947 ha in Kyiv region
  • the maximum size of the plot — 46.75 ha in Donetsk region, the price of which was UAH 1,575.43 mln. The registration date is October 11, 2021

Basic data on farmland market in Ukraine for the period 15-21 November:

  • the weighted average contract value per land plot — UAH 32,106
  • the total number of transactions of purchase and sale of land plots for commodity agricultural production (land shares) — 1,646
  • the total area of land shares sold — 6,085 ha
  • the average size of the land plot — 3.7 ha
  • the maximum price — UAH 687,720 in Kharkiv region
  • the maximum size of the plot —28,25 ha in Kherson region
