Sunflower oil export from Ukraine exceeds 0.5 mln t in September
In September 2022/23, Ukraine exported more than 500 thou. t of sunflower oil (36% up on August), which is the record volume for the month since the start of the war, the APK-Inform consultancy reports.
A significant increase in exports was driven by the resumption of vegetable oil shipments from deep-sea ports — the ports of Big Odesa, and the intensification of sunflower processing during August-September of this year.
"The EU countries accounting for 37% of exports and Turkey with the 27% share remain the key importers in September. Moreover, India resumed the import of Ukrainian sunflower oil in the first month of the new season, having imported slightly over 100 thou. t of Ukrainian sunoil," said the experts.
