Corn yields 4.17 t/ha on average in Ukraine, grains and legumes 62% harvested

As of October 6, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine yielded 26.4 mln t on 6.9 mln ha, which is 62% of the planned area (2021: 70%, 11.19 mln ha), the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports. The average yield of the crops is 3.84 t/ha (2021: 4.41 t/ha).

  • wheat: 19.2 mln t on 4.7 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 4.1 t/ha
  • barley: 5.5 mln t on 1.6 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 3.48 t/ha
  • rapeseed: 3.2 mln t on 1.1 mln ha (100%), avg. yield 2.89 t/ha
  • peas: 251 thou. t on 110 thou. ha (98%), avg. yield 2.28 t/ha
  • millet: 77 thou. t on 34 thou. ha (76%), avg. yield 2.27 t/ha
  • buckwheat: 85 thou. t on 58 thou. ha (49%), avg. yield 1.48 t/ha
  • sunflower: 2.6 mln t on 1.3 mln ha (28%), avg. yield 2 t/ha
  • corn: 400 thou. t on 96 thou. ha (2.3%), avg. yield 4.17 t/ha
  • soybean: 505 thou. t on 211 thou. ha (14%), avg. yield 2.39 t/ha
  • sugar beet: 1.6 mln t on 33.4 thou. ha (19%), avg. yield 47.1 t/ha

USDA projects wheat output in Ukraine in 2022/23 at 19.5 mln t, corn at 30 mln t, and sunflower at 10.5 mln t.
