Verevskyi acquires over a third of Kernel Holding shares
Namsen Limited, a legal entity directly controlled by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kernel Andrii Verevskyi, bought 36% of shares of Kernel Holding S.A., a broker Trigon DM announced.
Previously, Namsen Limited owned 38.05% of the company's shares. After the completion of the tender, Verevskyi will own 74% of Kernel's shares.
The tender was announced to buy back 62% of the shares, but 30.248 million shares were acquired out of the 52.57 million offered by Namsen Limited.
The share price was PLN 18.5 (about USD 4.05), with a total buyout price of about USD 122.4 million.
On 2 May, Kernel's minority shareholders terminated the agreement on joint measures in connection with the company's delisting from the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In early March 2023, Namsen Limited, the largest shareholder of Kernel, voiced plans to delist from the WSE for the first time explaining that the disadvantages outweighed the advantages of being a public company.
