russia's Black Sea fleet gets set for blockade on Ukraine — British Intel
The russian Black Sea fleet changed its deployment after russia withdrew from the grain deal, which may indicate it is preparing for a blockade of Ukraine, the UK Ministry of Defence announced based on the intelligence data.
The report reads that the modern corvette Sergei Kotov has deployed to the southern part of the Black Sea, patrolling the shipping route between the Bosphorus and Odesa.
"There is a realistic possibility that it will form part of a task group to intercept commercial vessels russia believes are heading to Ukraine," the message reads.
It is expected that the intensity and scope of violence in the area will increase.
For context, on July 17, russia withdrew from the grain deal. Later it announced that all vessels in the area close to Ukraine's Black Sea ports are considered by it as military targets.
