Ukraine's H1 2023/24 beet sugar exports 60% higher YoY

In the first half of the 2023/24 season, Ukraine exported 430 thou. tons of beet sugar, 60% above last year's levels (262 thou. tons), Share UA Potential analysts report.

In March 2024, sugar exports totalled 81 thou. tons, up from 75 thou. tons in the previous month and 48 thou. tons in March 2023.

Radekhiv Sugar, Ukrprominvest-Agro and Astarta-Kyiv are the main exporters of beet sugar from Ukraine. Their share in total exports is estimated at 60-70%.

Since March 2024, Ukraine has increased its sugar exports to African countries by 20%, in particular to Cameroon, Libya and Guinea.
