Continental Farmers Group purchases grain storage in Lviv region

Continental Farmers Group has acquired an elevator complex in Lviv region, equipped to handle all grains and oilseeds grown by the company.

The facility's storage capacity is 120,000 tons, of which 77,000 tons is in metal silos and 43,000 tons is in precast concrete silos and warehouses. This brings Continental's total storage capacity to 634 thousand tons.

"By purchasing this asset, we have also significantly optimised our logistics: the new elevator is located near a major railway junction and has the daily capacity to load up to 45 wagons with grain. The elevator complex is modern, multifunctional and fully automated, so we did not incur any extra costs for modernisation or additional equipment, and that is also important," says Georg von Nolcken, CEO of Continental Farmers Group.

Latifundist.com has learned from market sources that the company bought Krasnenskyi KHP, formerly owned by DMV Group. In June, the Antimonopoly Committee authorised Continental for the acquisition of the agricultural holding's assets.
