UGTC constructed export terminal in Chornomorsk
The UGTC TRADE group of companies constructed an export terminal in the port of Chornomorsk, the co-owner of the group, Serhiy Verenkiotov, told Latifundist.com.
The idea to start the construction came at the beginning of the war when the company saw that transshipment was marginal.
The new terminal has a daily loading capacity of 8,000 tons. It will load vessels up to 30,000 DWT. The storage capacity is 33 thousand tons.
"We cover the entire chain from the field, from the farmer, to our elevator, then to the railcars, to the warehouse and to the ship. We can act as logistics partners, and in addition to being able to load the vessel ourselves, we can take over the entire logistics chain as traders, and we can provide the same service to our partners," Verenkiotov added.
Kernel's Open Agribusiness programme backed the project financially. USAID provided the company with a loader, unloading and weighting equipment. Earlier, the company received 15 grain railcars from USAID.
