Ukraine exports second sunflower seed vessel in 2024/25 MY

Ukraine exported 19 thousand tons of sunflower seeds to France in January 2025, marking the second Handysize shipment of the season, according to ASAP Agri.

The exact date of this export is unknown. The first shipment totaling 16 thousand tons was delivered to the Spanish Mediterranean in October 2024.

“It’s worth noting that since the trade with the Spanish Mediterranean in early September 2024, prices for Ukrainian sunflower seeds on the domestic market have increased by approximately 70 USD/MT,” said Christina Serebryakova, CEO of ASAP Agri and broker at Atria Brokers.
