YEDNIST‘ FOOD, a grain and legume processing plant of YEDNIST’ GROUP, has started operating in the Myrhorod district of Poltava region.

The plant is equipped with machinery from OLIS, a Ukrainian manufacturer. The company has equipped its production lines with a new generation of photo-separator, which ensures perfect product quality by removing the smallest defects and impurities. Hulling and grinding machines and pea splitters were also installed.

The YEDNIST' FOOD plant processes cereals and legumes and produces yellow split peas, corn groats, and corn flour for the B2B market under the eponymous brand. In the future, the company plans to enter the B2C market with the MamiOK brand.

Cooperation with local farmers allows the company to control the quality of its raw materials. The company helps farmers buy seed of the flint corn hybrid that meets their quality requirements.

"During the season, we do regular checks of the cultivation technology and eventually buy back the crop from the sown area, receiving the grain according to our quality system. This is a mutually beneficial partnership, as we support local small and medium-sized businesses and make a positive contribution to the development of the community," the company says in a statement.

The plant's total processing capacity is 120 tons of raw materials daily. The plant produces the following finished products:

  • corn grits: up to 66 tons per day;
  • corn flour: up to 18 tons per day;
  • peas: up to 96 tons per day.

The packaging lines have a capacity of 25 tons per hour.

Production is certified to international safety standards (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001). The company plans to export 65% of its products to the European Union and the Middle East.
