Cherkasy-based agrofirm building pig complex for up to 34,000 head
Agrofirma Korsun, part of the Panda Group, is constructing a pig farming complex in Cherkasy region. The project was announced by company co-owner Mykhailo Savchenko during the “Agrotour: Processing on the Move” conducted by Latifundist.com and Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine.
The new complex is designed to accommodate 30,000–34,000 pigs.
Currently, the company is reconstructing an old facility that previously housed heifers. The first phase includes 950 sows, with a planned output of 36 piglets per sow.
The first sows are expected to arrive as early as October 2025. The total investment in the project will exceed €12 million. Construction is being financed with the company’s own funds, while the equipment is fully funded by Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine.
In addition, in March 2024, the company began building its own vegetable storage facility with a 12,000-ton capacity. By November, part of the facility was already operational, storing onions and carrots. This allowed the company to continue vegetable sales through June 2025. The goal now is to supply the market year-round.
