Harvest progress in Ukraine lags behind last year, less than one-third of planned area collected

As of July 24, growers in Ukraine have harvested only 10.3 million tons of grains and pulses from 3.24 million hectares — just over 28% of the planned area, according to ASAP Agri.

For comparison, on the same date last year, 19 million tons had been harvested from 4.71 million hectares — over 42% of the total area. In addition to slower progress, average yields have also dropped: 3.2 t/ha versus 3.81 t/ha last year.
