Ukrainian logistics company TEUS has purchased 22 railway tank cars designed for transporting edible oil. Each tank has a capacity of 60 tons, the company’s press service reported.

“Given that oil cargo makes up a significant share of rail freight, this step opens new opportunities for clients seeking efficient, high-quality transportation that complies with all relevant regulations and standards,” the company noted.

The acquisition will allow TEUS to handle turnkey transportation of liquid cargo without relying on third-party operators. It will also strengthen the company’s vertically integrated logistics model.

As of now, TEUS also owns 40 grain hoppers. The company plans to grow its fleet to 300 railcars.
