Ukrainian farmers harvest 31.6 mln t of grain from new crop; wheat 98% threshed with average yield of 4.37 t/ha

As of August 29, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have harvested 28.37 mln t of early grains and pulses from 6.89 mln ha, the Ministry of Economy reported. Harvesting has been completed on 61% of the sown area.

By crop:

  • Wheat — 21.86 mln t from 5.0 mln ha, avg. yield 4.37 t/ha (98% complete).

  • Barley — 5.16 mln t from 1.34 mln ha, avg. yield 3.84 t/ha.

  • Peas — 585,000 t from 262,300 ha, avg. yield 2.23 t/ha.

  • Other grains and pulses — 746,400 t from 266,700 ha.

Leading regions include:

  • Odesa — 3.45 mln t from 1.09 mln ha.

  • Vinnytsia — 2.39 mln t from 423,700 ha.

  • Khmelnytskyi — 2.10 mln t from 299,800 ha.

  • Kirovohrad — 2.21 mln t from 534,100 ha.

Other crops:

  • Rapeseed — 3.19 mln t from 1.27 mln ha, avg. yield 2.51 t/ha.

  • Soybeans — 10,400 t from 7,290 ha, avg. yield 1.43 t/ha.

  • Sunflower — 13,200 t from 15,400 ha, avg. yield 0.86 t/ha.
