Ukraine plants over 1.6 mln ha of winter grains and rapeseed for 2026 crop

As of September 23, growers in Ukraine planted 1.6 million hectares of winter crops, according to the Ministry of Economy. This represents around 25% of the planned area. Winter grains are being planted across all regions of Ukraine.
In particular:

winter wheat — 672,000 ha;

winter barley — 37,700 ha;

winter rye — 17,700 ha;
-
winter rapeseed — 872,600 ha.
Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Dnipropetrovsk regions are among the leaders in grain sowing. The largest areas of winter rapeseed were sown in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Ternopil regions.
