New oilseed processing plant opens in Mykolaiv region, with plans to process corn in the future
A new multi-grain oilseed complex, OLVIA, is being launched in Ukraine’s Mykolaiv region, the company’s press service told Latifundist.com. The project will be implemented in two stages.
In the first phase, the company reconstructed a grain elevator with a storage capacity of 84,700 m³ and equipped it with grain drying and cleaning systems. The pressing and extraction workshops, meal and husk storage facilities, a biomass-fired boiler house, oil storage tanks, and an in-house substation have already been commissioned.
After the second phase launch, the facility will double its output. The expansion will include:
- an additional pressing and preparation workshop,
- a second extraction workshop,
- expanded oil storage capacity,
- in-house power generation,
- a refining, deodorization, and winterization workshop,
- a bottling line,
- and finished goods storage and shipping facilities.
In the long term, OLVIA plans to expand into deep corn processing for starch production, packaging, and sales on both domestic and export markets.
