Ukraine’s grain storage capacity increased in 2025 but remains below pre-war levels

As of the end of 2025, Ukraine’s grain storage capacity rose to 52.67 million tons, according to Elevatorist.com.

For comparison, in October 2024, this figure stood at 52.1 million tons. Over the year, Ukraine added nearly 0.5 million tons of storage capacity despite losses caused by the Russia-Ukraine war. However, the 2025 level is still approximately 3.7 million tons lower than at the beginning of 2022.

Top three regions by grain storage capacity:

  • Poltava region — 5.575 million tons
  • Odesa region — 5.445 million tons
  • Vinnytsia region — 4.447 million tons
