On the night of February 23, Russia attacked port infrastructure in Odesa region. The area of a truck holding facility was damaged, said Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba.

According to preliminary information, two people were killed, and three others were injured.

“This is yet another strike on civilian logistics and port infrastructure. Russia is systematically attacking facilities that have no military purpose, attempting to undermine the economy of the region and the country as a whole,” he wrote.

All relevant emergency services are working at the scene, and efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

  • On January 15, 2026, Russia struck a berth at the Port of Chornomorsk with a ballistic missile while a civilian vessel sailing under the Maltese flag was docked there. The ship was preparing to load containers. Three containers were damaged as a result of the strike, and an oil spill occurred.
  • On January 28, Russia attacked the Port of Pivdennyi in Odesa region. The strike damaged production and railway infrastructure facilities and caused a fire.
