KLO petrol station chain built grain elevator in Vinnytsia region
The KLO petrol station chain has invested in the agricultural sector and built a grain elevator in Vinnytsia region. The project aims to supply feed to the company’s pig farm with 1,250 sows, as well as to control feed costs and quality, Elevatorist.com reports.
According to KLO AGRO, owning an elevator allows the company to purchase grain during the harvest season and reduce dependence on seasonal price fluctuations. In addition to grain storage, the facility also produces oilseed meal and compound feed.
So far, three phases of the elevator complex have been commissioned. The facility includes three silos with a capacity of 5,000 tons each and five silos of 1,000 tons each. Together with hoppers for wet grain, the total storage capacity reaches 21,000 tons. The project also provides for further expansion of capacity to 60,000 tons.
Currently, grain is shipped by trucks, but in the future the company is considering the construction of a railway loading hub.
The complex uses equipment from the Ukrainian manufacturer Lubnymash, including bucket elevators, conveyors, silos, and grain dryers.
During the 2025 harvest, the elevator received about 9,000 tons of grain, including 500 tons of farmers’ tolling grain.
