EU accounts for half of Ukraine’s agricultural export revenues in early 2026

In January–February 2026, Ukraine exported 9.95 million tons of agricultural products worth a total of $4 billion. Compared to the same period last year, shipment volumes remained almost unchanged, while export revenues increased by 9.3%.

The European Union remains Ukraine’s key trading partner, accounting for around 50% of foreign currency earnings from agricultural exports.

Corn, sunflower oil, wheat, soybeans, and meat traditionally make up the largest share of the export structure.

“The share of processed products is growing, with rapeseed oil exports increasing significantly. At the same time, diversifying sales markets and expanding export geography remain important tasks,” said Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
