Oliyar Group launches new poultry farm in Lviv region
The Oliyar Group of Companies has launched a new poultry farm in Lviv region specialising in the production of table eggs. The development was announced during a visit by representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Dutch regulator NVWA, according to Serhii Tkachuk, Head of the authority.
For the company, this marks a new line of business. The facility’s design capacity includes housing up to 2.3 million laying hens and producing more than 1.7 million eggs per day. The site has 20 poultry houses, as well as infrastructure for sorting, packaging, and storage of products.
The first phase of the project has already been implemented — the farm currently houses over 100,000 birds.
The facility operates a cage-free multi-tier housing system that complies with European animal welfare standards. Production processes are automated, including egg collection and manure removal systems, which improve efficiency and strengthen veterinary control.
