Ukrainian company plans to open second agri-hub in Africa

The Ridne consortium plans to open a second Ukrainian humanitarian food hub by the end of 2026. Kenya is currently considered the most likely location, company representatives told Latifundist.com in an interview.

The new hub is expected to expand the geography of humanitarian assistance and cover countries in East and Central Africa, including Somalia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Before launching the project, the team plans to test supply logistics together with major humanitarian organisations — particularly for deliveries to Sudan and the DRC — in order to determine the most efficient operating model.

The final decision on the exact location of the hub will be made after additional analysis. However, Kenya is seen as one of the most promising options due to its existing infrastructure.

At the same time, the Ridne consortium continues to implement its project in West Africa. The first Ukrainian humanitarian food hub is already operating near Accra, Ghana, as part of the Food from Ukraine initiative, where around 10,000 people have already received assistance.
