Russia strikes STAR VENTURE at anchorage near Odesa port

Russia on July 28 launched a third attack on the civilian bulk carrier STAR VENTURE (IMO 9586710), sailing under the Liberian flag, while it was anchored on the approaches to the port of Odesa, Ukraine's Shipping Administration said.
At the time of the attack, the vessel was unloaded and had no crew on board. The latest strike caused smoke in the area of the bridge.
Authorities are currently coordinating with the vessel's agents and owners regarding its further relocation.
"Repeated strikes on the same civilian vessel once again demonstrate the true nature of Russia's attacks. Not only port infrastructure and cargoes are being targeted — Russia is directly threatening the merchant fleet and international shipping," the Shipping Administration said.
