Ukrainian organic producer Danube Agrarian said on Facebook its warehouse facilities were seriously damaged after being hit by Russia, resulting in the loss of a significant share of the produce stored there.
No people were injured in the incident. The company is currently assessing the damage, with the final amount of losses yet to be determined.
“This produce represented a full year of work. We prepared, grew crops, invested money, effort and time, and planned the season so that we would have products to supply our customers and partners today. We are still calculating the losses,” Danube Agrarian said.
The company warned that the warehouse damage could cause disruptions to supplies and temporary shortages of some organic products.
Danube Agrarian is now restoring its logistics and operations. The company said it plans to fulfil its commitments to customers and partners and gradually return to full-scale operations.
“We are not stopping. We are rebuilding and moving forward,” the company added.
