In Ukraine the total volume of grain production is estimated at 63 million tons, which is almost 6% higher than in 2015. It was reported by FAO.

At the same time, about 40% of total production is accounted for wheat, which is estimated at 26.1 million tons of the crop, which is 2% less than last year's record.

According to the report, a slight decline in wheat production is compensated by the increase of corn production (by 10%, or up to 26 million tons), and the increase in barley production by 15% as a result of the expansion of cultivated areas.

We would like to remind that as of December 21, 2016, Ukraine exported 21.22 million tons of grain, which is 0.96 million tons more than for the same period last year.
