Ukraine exported 3 million tons of wheat to India

In 2016/2017 MY, India bought more than 3 million tons of Ukrainian wheat. This information was reported by Agritel analysts.

"This year, India is much in demand for wheat and ensures the stockpile. Therefore, at the end of August, a shipment of 300 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat to India is expected," says the report.

It is noted that after the contract for the supply of 300 thousand tons of wheat in September-October was concluded after the Indian importers visited Ukraine.

Let us remind that trading relations between the two countries are not limited to wheat only. India is the largest importer of Ukrainian sunflower oil — approximately 1.5 million tons per year. Also, India is interested in importing Ukrainian peas.
