Grain exports from sea ports increased by 65%

From July 29 until August 4, the Ukrainian seaports shipped 760 thousand tons of grains for export, which is 65% more compared with the previous week.

The information was announced by APK-Inform.

Last week, the wheat share decreased to 36% (63% — July 22-28). At the same time, the share of barley increased from 31% to 60%. The share of maize has slightly changed in the period from July 29 to August 4 and reached 8% compared to 6% recorded a week ago.

TIS (132 thousand tons), Olympex Coupe International (105 thousand tons), and NIBULON (102.6 thousand tons) were the leaders in shipments of grain for the reporting week.

The main importers of Ukrainian grain last week were Spain (113.45 thousand tons) and Saudi Arabia (54 thousand tons).

Let us remind that through January-June 2017 the Ukrainian seaports shipped 19.6 million tons of grain, which is 20% more compared to the same period in 2016.
