In Ukraine, the forecast wheat production will increase by 2.5 million tons in 2017/2018 MY

In Ukraine, the forecast for wheat production in 2017/2018 MY will increase by 2.5 million tons to 26.5 million tons (24 million tons according to the July forecast).

This information is reported by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Compared to 2016/2017 MY, wheat production will decrease by 0.3 million tons (26.8 million tons in 2016/2017 MY).

It is noted that the Ukrainian wheat export is estimated at 16 million tons, which is 2 million tons more than the July forecast and 2 million tons less than the wheat production in 2016/2017 MY.

Let us remind that in Ukraine the forecast gross grain harvest in 2017/2018 MY is estimated at 60.2-63 million tons, depending on the weather conditions.
