Ukraine reduced grain exports by 462 thousand tons

Ukraine from the beginning of 2017/18 MY as of September 6, 2017 exported 6.75 million tons of grain, which is 462 thousand tons less than the same period last year.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Ukraine exported 3.49 million tons of wheat, which is 706,000 tons less than in the same period last year.

Barley exports for the reporting period amounted to 2.1 million tons, which is 304 thousand tons less than in the same period last year.

The volume of maize exports amounted to 1.14 million tons, which is 565,000 tons more than in the same period of 2016/17 MY.

Let us remind, that the forecast for wheat production in Ukraine in 2017/18 MY increased by 2.5 million tons to 26.5 million tons (24 million tons in the July forecast).
