The forecast of corn production in Ukraine in 2017/18 MY is reduced to 27.5 million tons

The forecast for corn production in Ukraine in 2017/18 MY is reduced to 27.5 million tons (-1 million tons) compared to the August forecast (28.5 million tons).

This is reported in the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report of USDA.

At the same time, compared to 2016/17 MY, corn production will decrease by 0.5 million tons (28 million tons — 2016/17 MY).

It is noted that the export of corn from Ukraine is estimated at 22 million tons, 0.5 million tons more than the August forecast.

Let us remind, that the forecast for grain production in Ukraine increased to 63.2 million tons compared to 61.7 million tons in August.
