In January-August Ukraine exported 26.7 thousand tons of beef

Ukraine in January-August 2017 exported 26.69 thousand tons of fresh and frozen meat for the amount of $ 73.44 million.

According to the data of the SFS, Ukraine exported 7.35 thousand tons of fresh or chilled beef and 19.34 thousand tons of frozen beef.

The main importer of fresh beef in January-August was Belarus ($18.59 million), which was delivered 7.26 thousand tons (98.78% of the total volume). Frozen beef was exported to Azerbaijan ($13.61 million), Kazakhstan ($12.61 million) and Belarus ($10.39 million). Export to these countries amounted to 4.82 thousand tons, 4.47 thousand tons and 3.68 thousand tons of frozen beef, respectively.

Let us remind, that the expected production of beef (295 thousand tons) and pork (621 thousand tons) in 2017 will be one of the lowest.
