Wheat prices in Ukraine go up

In Ukraine, prices for flour milling wheat with 11.5% protein develop at about $ 162-163 per ton.

There is also an increase in barley prices.

It is noted that problems with logistics are returning, in particular — the absence of grain hoppers and locomotives, while large volumes of harvested grain will be transported from the eastern and central regions of the country.

The report says that due to the accumulation of large volumes on domestic bunkers, there is an increase in the spread between the prices for flour milling wheat EXW and CPT at $8 per ton for 3 weeks to $23 per ton.

Taking into account the concern, Ukrzaliznytsia assured that it will provide more locomotives and that by the end of the month the situation will return to normal.

Let us remind, that Ukraine since the beginning of 2017/18 MY as of September 13, 2017 exported 7.77 million tons of grain, which is 1 thousand tons less than the same period last year.
