20% of the area under sunflower is threshed in Ukraine — Harvest Online 2017

As of September 15, 2017 Ukrainian farmers threshed 20% or 1.2 million hectares of sunflower areas.

This is stated in the joint project Latifundist.com and AGCO Harvest Online 2017.

At the same time, the projected harvesting area of oilseeds in this season will amount to 5.9 million hectares.

Let us remind, that the harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine has already been completed, agrarians harvested 37.5 million tons of grain, and the average yield of harvested crops was 3.86 t/ha (2016 — 3.94 t/ha).

The corn harvest campaign continues, according to the latest data, the crop was harvested from 90 thousand hectares (forecast of 4.5 million hectares), 386 thousand tons were threshed at a yield of 4.29 tons/ha (2016 —  4.44 tons/ha ).

The agrarians threshed 244 thousand hectares of soy (forecast — 2 million hectares), and harvested 416 thousand tons of oilseed, with an average yield of 1.78 tons per hectare (2016 — 2.07 tons per hectare).

Harvesting of sugar beet was carried out on the area of 20 thousand hectares (forecast — 318 thousand hectares), the yield amounted to 845 thousand tons with the average yield of 42.4 tons/ha (2016 — 44.8 tons/ha).

The highest yields of grain and leguminous crops were recorded in Khmelnitsky — 5.58 t/ha, Ternopil — 5.28 t/ha, Ivano-Frankivsk — 5.21 t/ha, Vinnitsa — 4.97 t/ha, Chernivtsi — 4,96 t/ha and Lviv regions — 4.83 t/ha.
