In 2016/17 MY Ukraine exported 2.9 million tons of soybeans

Following the results of 2016/17 (September-August), Ukraine exported 2.9 million tons of soy, which is 23% higher than the previous season.

This is reported by APK-Inform.

The largest buyers of Ukrainian soy were Turkey — 26% of total exports, Iran — 20% and Egypt — 20%.

Let us remind, the soybean harvesting campaign 2017 is carried out on the area of 542k hectares or 27% to the forecast, 935k tons of oilseeds are threshed with the average yield of 1.72 t/ha (2016 — 2.11 t/ha).
