Corn stocks in Ukraine amount to 1.6 million tons

As of September 1, 2017, stocks at the enterprises that process and store corn amounted to 1.6 million tons, which is 272 thousand tons more than the same indicator in Y2016 (1.33 million tons).

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the largest reserves of corn are at the enterprises of Poltava (309.9 thousand tons), Chernigov (190.1 thousand tons) and Sumy (166.9 thousand tons) regions.

According to the joint project of Latifundist.com and AGCO Harvest Online 2017, as of September 22, 2017 in Ukraine harvesting of cereals was carried out on an area of 10.1 million hectares or 70% of the forecast, and the average yield amounted to 3,84 t/ha (2016 — 3.94 t/ha).
