In January-August Ukraine produced 10.8 billion eggs

In Ukraine, in January-August 2017, 10.75 billion units were produced. eggs from poultry of all kinds, which is 57.3 million pcs. more than the same period of 2016.

This is reported by the Interregional Union of Poultry Breeders and Fodder Producers of Ukraine.

It is noted that agricultural enterprises produced 5.37 billion eggs, which is 15.6 million pcs. less than in January-August 2016. At the same time, the population's households produced 5.38 billion pcs., which is 72.9 thousand pcs. more than last year.

Agricultural enterprises in Kyiv, Khmelnytsky and Kherson regions produced the largest number of eggs: Kiev region produced 1.52 billion pcs. (-2.9%), in Khmelnitsky — 701.5 million pcs. (+ 13.1%), in Kherson — 472 million pcs. (-22.4%).

In 2017 Ukraine will increase the production of eggs from poultry of all kinds to 16 billion pcs., which is 6% more than in Y2016.
