The largest soybean processors for September-August 2016/17 MY are named

The leader among soybean processors in September-August 2016/17 MY is agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kiev.
This is reported by ProAgro.
The company accounts for about 25% of the total production of soybean oil and meal/cake in Ukraine.
In the top-5 producers of soybean oil are included (share in total production):
- Astarta-Kiev — 25%;
- Myronivsky Hleboproduct (MHP) — 19%;
- Von Sass — 10%;
- Oliyar — 6%;
- Promtehagrotorg — 6%.
It is noted that the share of Astarta-Kiev in the total production of soybean meal/cake amounts to 25%, and MHP — 20%.
The report also says that as of the end of 2016/17 MY, the volumes of soybean processing in Ukraine also decreased in comparison to the results of the previous season (by 6.5%).
"Reduction in the volume of soybean processing in the current season is due, firstly, to the active export of oil and raw material, and secondly, to a decrease in demand for soybean meal/cake from the country's livestock sector, in particular the poultry sector," analysts say.
