40% of the area under soybeans are harvested in Ukraine — Harvest Online 2017

As of September 29, 2017, 40% of the area under soybeans are harvested in Ukraine. The crop yield amounts to 1.4 million tons with an average productivity of 1.72 tons/ha (2016 —2.15 tons/ha).

Let us remind, that the forecast of harvesting areas of soybean this season is 2 million hectares.

According to the data of the joint project of Latifundist.com and AGCO Harvest Online 2017, the harvest of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine amounted to 40.3 million tons, harvested area — 10.5 million hectares, and average productivity — 3.84 tons/ha (2016 — 3.99 tons/ha).

The agrarians harvested corn from the area of 591 thousand hectares or 13% of the forecast, the harvest amounted to 2.4 million tons, and the average yield — 4.09 tons/ha (2016 — 5.11 tons/ha).

Sunflower harvesting was carried out on the area of 3.6 million hectares or 61% of the forecast, yields totaled 6.8 million tons, and the average productivity — 1.87 tons/ha (2016 — 2.15 tons/ha).

Sugar beet is harvested at 62,000 hectares or 19% of the forecast, agrarians received a yield of 845k tons, with the average productivity of 42.5 tons/ha (2016 — 44.9 tons/ha).

The highest yields of grains and legumes are recorded in the following regions: in Khmelnitsky — 5.57 t/ha, Ternopil — 5.26 t/ha, Chernivtsi — 5.07 t/ha, Ivano-Frankivsk — 5.02 t/ha, Vinnitsa — 4,98 t/ha and Lviv — 4.80 t/ha.
