Ukraine in January-September exported 30k tons of beef

Ukraine in January-September 2017 exported 30.09 thousand tons of fresh and frozen cattle meat for the amount of $83.31 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Ukraine exported 8.47 thousand tons of fresh or chilled beef and 21.63 thousand tons of frozen beef.

The main importer of fresh beef in January-September is Belarus (amounting to $21.55 million), which was delivered 8.38 thousand tons (98.9% of the total volume). Frozen beef was exported to Azerbaijan ($14.91 million), Kazakhstan ($13.68 million) and Belarus ($11.81 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 5.24 thousand tons, 4.81 tons and 4.15 thousand tons of frozen beef, respectively.

Reference: the expected production of beef (295 thousand tons) and pork (621 thousand tons) in 2017 will be among the lowest volumes.
