Ukraine is interested in creating a hub for agroexporters in Malta — Groysman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman declared the interest to create a hub for Ukrainian exporters of agricultural products in Malta with access to the markets of North Africa and the Mediterranean.

This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

"Ukraine and Malta significantly stepped up cooperation, and it was during Malta's presidency in the EU that the most important decisions were made for us, such as the introduction of a visa-free regime and the completion of the ratification of the association agreement with the EU," said Vladimir Groisman.

He expressed confidence in fruitful cooperation and maximum strengthening of mutual trade and investment relations between the two countries.

Reference: the export of Ukrainian agro–food products during 8 months of 2017 increased by USD 2.3 billion, or by 24.5% compared to the same period in 2016, and amounted to almost USD 11.5 billion.
