Since the beginning of 2017/18 MY Ukraine exported 11.7 million tons of grain

Ukraine from the beginning of 2017/18 MY as of October 18, 2017 exported 11.7 million tons of grain, which is 223 thousand tons less than in the same period last year.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

It is noted that the export of corn in comparison with the same period last year increased by 449 thousand tons and amounted to 1.36 million tons.

The volume of wheat exports decreased by 612 thousand tons to 6.97 million tons, and barley — by 50 thousand tons to 3.34 million tons.

Exports of rye amounted to 6.2 thousand tons, which is 6.1 thousand tons more than in the same period last year.

Reference: Ukrainian agrarians threshed 45 million tons of grain so far. Harvesting of grain crops is carried out on 79% of the forecasted areas or 11.6 million hectares, the average yield amounts to 3.89 t/ha (2016 — 3.94 t/ha).
