In 2017 Ukraine exports 240k tons of poultry meat

Exports of poultry meat from Ukraine by the end of 2017 will make up about 240 thousand tons.

It is noted that Ukrainian poultry producers export to 63 countries in 2017, among them is a number of states in the Middle East, Central and East Asia and Africa.

The Top-5 exporters of poultry meat are:

1. Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) — 85.6% (export share);
2. APC Dneprovskaya — 5.6%;
3. Pan Kurchak — 3.1%;
4. Agro-Oven — 2.1%;
5. Agromars Eksim — 0.5%.

In general, these 5 companies provide 97% of all exports, which indicates a significant level of monopolization of supply. Large enterprises benefit from the scale of production and ensure the stability of product quality and the rhythm of supply. All these companies have a full cycle of their own production.

Reference: the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) is investigating the domestic poultry market for violation of the competitive environment. The priority for the AMCU is the price situation in the meat market, in particular, chicken meat. Analysis of prices showed that several chicken meat positions rose in price (for the last calendar year) by 50%. And the average arithmetic growth in the value of chicken from the beginning of 2017 makes up 22.5%.
