Ukraine in January-August exported 127 thousand tons of organic grain

In January-August 2017, 126.6 thousand tons of organic grain were exported from Ukraine, whereas in the whole Y2016 export volume made up 149.3 thousand tons.

This is reported by APK-Inform.

It is noted that the share of organic corn has significantly increased in the supply structure up to 57% (2016 — 46%) and barley — up to 8% (2016 — 2%). The share of wheat in general supplies decreased to 33% against 50% last year.

The traditional importers of Ukrainian organic grain are the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, which together accounted for 57% of all purchases of organic grain in 2016 and 61% in January-August 2017.

Reference: Ukraine from the beginning of MY 2017/18 as of October 18, 2017 exported 11.7 million tons of grain, which is 223 thousand tons less than in the same period last year.
