ROSTOK-HOLDING harvested 35 thousand tons of sunflower

The farms of ROSTOK-HOLDING Group harvested 34.6k tons, with the average yield of 2.8 tons/ha (2016 — 2.7 tons/ha).

The press service of the company reports, that sunflower is harvested on an area of 12.4 thousand hectares (2016 — 12.8 thousand hectares).

Soybean is harvested from the area of 5.2 thousand hectares (2016 — 5.1 thousand hectares), the yield amounts to 12.6 thousand tons with the average productivity of 2.4 tons/ha (2016 — 3.5 tons/ha).

"These figures are higher than the average rates in Ukraine. Thus, according to preliminary data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine as of October 20, the average yield of sunflower amounts to 2 tons/ha (90% of the area is threshed), soybean — 1.9 tons/ha (75% of the area)," the company informs.

Corn harvesting campaign continues on the fields of ROSTOK-HOLDING Group. At the end of September, the farms of the group completed sowing of winter wheat for the harvest of 2018. The area under crops is 6.8 thousand hectares.

Reference: in 2017, in the overall structure of agricultural crops, sunflower and soybeans make up 24% and 10%, respectively.
