A new terminal at port Olvia to start functioning in December

The company Evrovneshtorg is building a new terminal in the specialized sea port of Olvia (Nikolaev), which will specialize in trans-shipment of agricultural products.

This was informed by Raivis Veckagans, the acting CEO of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), writes CTS.

"Already in December of this year, the investor plans to put into operation the first stage of a new modern terminal for transshipment of agricultural products," Raivis Veckagans said.

According to the head of the USPA, a month and a half ago a pool of Olvia's investors expanded. On September 14, at the last meeting of the port council, Evrovneshtorg was included in the council of the seaport. In addition, changes were made in the development plan of the port, taking into account the development of the Eurovneshtorg sea terminal.

Reference: the specialized sea port of Olvia in January-September 2017 provided for the transshipment of 2.65 million tons of grain, which is 65.8% more than the volume of the same period last year.
